- Biological control of soilborne fungal pathogens.

- Natural and induced resistance mechanisms against plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria.

- The use of (bio)surfactants for the control of zoospore-producing plant pathogens.

- The role of the plant hormones abscisic acid and salicylic acid in plant-pathogen interactions.
